My Body is designed to allow students the ability to learn through hands-on, concrete, iconic, and abstract learning.
The teacher or caregiver is the guide only and can print, laminate, and arrange the lessons on trays or in a basket and tray to help students learn body parts.
This lesson is excellent for primary, elementary, and for ESL students.
A good voice and a bit of drama will help the child connect to any lesson.
Be purposeful in your carrying of trays, and materials, so that the child can also
learn the art of care for the environment, (classroom)
I suggest moving with the song to get the whole body engaged in learning and then
the cards to get the student into a focused lesson.

For ESL learning:
Even adults can benefit from some of the items from this lesson
as adults need hands-on and visuals as well. I lived overseas in Germany for four
years and often what was missing was interactive learning for adults. We do so much better this way.
I hope that you enjoy this material. Leave feedback and let me know how you have used the items in your classroom or home.
54-page PDF format for a whole range of lessons and expansions in this early start to our anatomy, through song, Montessori Materials, reading and language, and body movement, your child, or even your older ESL students will enjoy this learning activity. (Need more ideas about how to add this to an older ESL lesson? Send us an email at [email protected])
Watch for the slide show and audio/video read along to enhance your lesson. More books to be added this month!
